Ken Smith BMT 6 Flamed Maple 7/7

The BMT series was produced by Ken during the years 1993 to 1997. Compared to the common BT Body shapes the BMT provides a longer upper horn, providing a better balance balance when using a strap. Furthermore the BMT were made with 7-pc necks and 7-layer bodies (instead of 5/5). BMT was also an acronym for the newer Bass/Mid/treble circuit, adding a Mid EQ.

These 90s Smiths have the very comfortable thinner necks, which were later replaced by more chunky ones. The playability of all BMTs is outstanding – same here !

The bass is in very good playing condition. Some small dings here and there but nothing serious. Everything works as it should. Very low Action ! Plays like butter and sounds excellent with that specific “Smith click”.
